BUSHCRAFT Seasoning Blend is the first of its kind to be PURPOSE built for wood-fire grilling. In speaking with legit back-woods, survival professionals we found they faced a few problems…
The first was lack of potency in the seasoning and spice blends they had been using. If you’re at all familiar with cooking over wood, you know that whatever wood / source you’re cooking over plays a big part in the overall flavor of the food. We had to create a blend that would compliment whatever material you’re cooking over from found deadfall timber to meticulously crafted artisan wood pellets in your pellet grill. We did this by leading with a good quality sea salt. The flavor will “stick” to the food and using our exceptionally high-quality FRESH herbs, we’ve balanced out the blend to bring a unique experience to your plate.
The next challenge was in getting the seasonings to physically adhere or stick to the food. Especially important in the field where every ounce matters, you don’t want to waste a grain of salt. So, we’ve used a proprietary blending process that allows for the herbs and spices to coat evenly and stay-put.
With these two factors in place, it allows for the user to use much less quantity than traditional blends. Remember, this blend is to compliment the smokey, over-the-fire taste we all love - not reroute it like some other lesser quality blends.
Now, a point I want to make... although we built and tested this blend with the intention of over-the-fire cooking, you can cook over any heat source. Gas grill, pan-fry, whatever you're able to use... Fire is best, be some days it's just off the table.
Our packaging design also makes this blend very convenient to pack along your other backwoods essentials when heading into the field. Leave the bulky bottles for the babies back in the cabin.... :-)
That's a tough one. Unlike most seasoning companies, we believe in CUSTOM mixing these blends. This is not a simple copy-cat blend to fill shelf space... We have been comparing the taste to a high-quality poultry or beef roast rub, but with the inclusion of the wide-array of fresh herbs, it’s like none-other we’ve built out.
In addition to the function and taste, the blending method allows for an amazing appearance on your food. For the BUSHCRAFT Seasoning Blend, we’re using some of the largest grinds of herbs we’ve ever sold along side fine-grind spices for consistent coating and crust. One look at your food and you’ll be able to SEE that this is going to taste like nothing you’ve prepped before.
As with all of our blends, your imagination is your only limit. We have personally tested this blend on everything from eggs and bacon to elk and moose. We’ve found that it best compliments the following foods:

I used the Bushcraft Blend on my chicken and Battleground Blend on my brisket. I cooked that brisket low and slow then that chicken was hot and fast and juicy AF. As soon as I pulled them off there he was... George Friggun Washington. Straight from upstairs. Along with him and the freedom eagles. We all ate till we were full of tacticalories, freedom, and Murica. It was a great day. Thank you tacticalories!
Tried this on beef, pork, and bison. Flavor profile is great. Not too strong, yet full of flavor to the end of the bite. This might be my new go-to seasoning.
Love this product so much I keep it in my back pack now. I spend a lot of time in the back country hunting and scouting and used to just take a small bag of salt and pepper with me but that can get boring fast and this replaced it. Amazing, subtle flavor that's strong enough to taste when cooking over a camp fire.
So far I’ve used Bushcaft on salmon and chicken and the flavor is amazing.
Had the chance to try this out and was not disappointed. I tossed it on some thick cut sirloins and some nice venison steaks I had. Thin coating pre cooking then topped them off with a little more after cooking. This seasoning has a flavor profile like nothing I have ever tasted. It’s not too overpowering or salty. It truly reminds me of some back woods good ole over the fire cooking. Call it a taste of the woods. I think it will also go great on chicken and many other meats. Even tossed some on my eggs for breakfast. If you want to try something with great flavor that hasn’t been done before then you need to give Bushcraft a try.
