You lose a 1/2 star for 2 reasons. The first is the heat level. 5 out of 5 it is not, but that is not a bad thing, just a promise you did not deliver on. 2nd is the outrageous price. If a friend of mine did not tell me about it, I would never pay this price for a 5 oz bottle unless it was for charity. I have at least 700 bottles of spicy sauce in my house ranging in heat. While I do like to sweat a lot, I love to immerse my food in sauce. I am a dunker for sure, but I need my bites to be covered. If a hot sauce is too hot on the crazy side, I can not do that. Your sauce picks up heat the more you have which I like. The flavor is why you get 4 1/2 stars, and that is usually my top for any product. I need perfection for it to be a 5, and I have reviewed many a hot sauce over the past 12 years. It is hard to find something that is original after the thousands of sauces I have sampled, but I found that originality in your sauce. Kudos on the toasted coconut idea. At $6 I would buy a whole case, but at this price point, it is disappointing that I can not share this with my hot sauce community and not be mocked for pushing an overpriced hot sauce. Been there, done that. You want to sell more outside of Upstate NY, then you best come correct on the price point. Get a better co-packer that is not ripping you off. Sorry this is more than a review, but this is a great hot sauce, and the world should be able to enjoy it too.
