Originally designed for homemade sausage and jerky, this blend is perfect for adding a dash of maple flavor to almost any dish. Add to ground beef, bacon, sweet potatoes, squash, or anywhere you want a natural maple flavor. There’s something sacred about maple flavored sausage in the morning. The challenge with it is, that they're typically made of complete garbage. Take control and make your own... it's easy. You don't need to be a hunter, you don't need a casing filler. Excellent flavor
We decided to try this on a pork tenderloin and it was delicious! Just the right amount of flavor and the light taste of Maple topped off the pork nicely.

Very Salty & Little Maple Flavor
The first ingredient listed is Salt, so I should have known better. This also has little maple flavor. I've used about half a bottle of this so far in sausage and home fries. Our kids both said the same thing, this is way too salty. I probably will not buy this again. This is one of the few items from Tacticalories I won't purchase unless the mix changes.
Thanks for your honest review, Dan! I have to remind you that this is a 'sausage seasoning', so the saltiness is there for a few reasons - flavor and preservation. A light dusting over unsalted food provides a nice salty maple flavor. As always, if you're unhappy with any of our products, you can always contact us and we'll figure out a way to make it right.
