Small-Batch Wild Game Seasoning, In Partnership with GoWild
We love to get outside, fish and hunt, and along with that comes another activity that's near and dear to our heart: Cooking wild game.
As we follow our passion—or, really, our gut—we decided it was time to put our money where our mouth was. With that, we’re launching our first-ever wild game seasoning.
Backwoods Backstory
GoWild Cofounder and CEO, Brad Luttrell, has long been a fan and customer of Tacticalories Seasoning Co. He’s used Tacticalories to cook nearly any type of wild game you can imagine, ranging from sheepshead to wild sheep, venison to javelina and everything in between. When Brad asked Casey, the founder and mastermind behind Tacticalories, if he’d be interested in creating a custom wild game spice together, he had one simple reply: “Oh, it’s about to be open season on wild game.”
And thus, Open Seasoning was born.
Wild Game Changer
Brad and Casey have crafted something together that combines both fine and coarse ground spices to consistently provide full flavor and texture, while still using the same proprietary blending techniques that makes Tacticalories the proficient product the brand is known for.
This seasoning is blended for meat-eaters. Hunters and anglers will find it the perfect go-to for everything from butterflied backstrap steaks to flour-based mix for your fish. It plays well with vegetables, too. Brad recommends also trying it on Crash Hot Potatoes, and Casey says it’s great on cauliflower, broccoli, peppers or onions.
