Prep Time: 15 Mins

Cook Time: 1 Hour

Servings: 6-8 bowls

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pounds of Ground Meat (Beef, Venison, Sausage….clean out the freezer)
  • 1 Onion (Diced)
  • 1 Jalapeno (Diced)
  • 1 Bell Pepper (I don’t care what color you use)
  • 1 can of Diced Tomatoes (14.5 Ounces)
  • 1 can of Crushed Tomatoes (14.5 Ounces)
  • 2 Cups of Beef Broth
  • Half of a Beer (finish the other half)
  • 3 Tablespoons of Leatherhead Chili Seasoning Mix OR Benchwarmer Chili Seasoning Mix if you like hotter chili
  • 2 Tablespoons of Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Tomato Paste
  • *Optional* 1 Can of Kidney Beans (19 Oz, drained)
  • *Optional* 2 Tablespoons of HOWLER HOT SAUCE - Make it HOT AF
  • *Optional* 2 Teaspoons of CABIN SMOKE Liquid Smoke - Authentic Smoke Flavor

Instructions:

  • Heat up a pot over medium high heat, preferably cast iron. Put the meat in the pan and don’t touch it for about 5 minutes. This will help the meat get a nice sear. Break up the meat and cook until you don’t see pink. Remove from the pot and drain off fat.
  • Add Onion, Jalapeno, Bell Pepper and cook until translucent.
  • Clear a spot for the tomato paste and cook for 3 minutes and then combine with the other ingredients in the pan.
  • Add the meat back into the pan and season everything with Leatherhead OR Benchwarmer Chili Seasoning Mix.
  • Add in the rest of the ingredients and turn the stove down to simmer and stir occasionally for about an hour.
  • Top with Cheese, Sour Cream, Oyster Crackers, Chives…etc
