LIT Hoppy Lime Homemade Tortillas
  • 2 cups of Harina de Maiz (Look in the international aisle of most grocery stores)
  • 1&1/4 cups of Water
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons of Lit Hoppy Lime infused Flake Salt
  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir for about two minutes until you get a texture that feels firm and almost like wet sand, add a little more water if it is too dry.
  • Divide and roll into dough balls, this recipe made 8 for us but could easily make 12 depending on the size you're looking for. Cover with a damp towel until you intend on pressing and cooking them
  • If you have a Tortilla press, use it. If you don't have a Tortilla press, place a dough ball between two pieces of no cling plastic and press it with something that is flat bottomed and heavy (glass pie plate, cast iron, your sister...) and press down firmly and evenly.
  • Cook the pressed tortillas on a hot ungreased cast iron or flat top grill. I found that 30 seconds on each side worked well. 
Put whatever you want on them and enjoy!
