PAPA BARD'S BACON WRAPPED MEATLOAF

We've all had meatloaf, but I promise you... you haven't had it like THIS. It's like an all-star team of flavor up at bat for you here. From the GOAT Carvers Prime, our Spiced Burgundy Wine Marinade and then followed up by the grand slam champion, our BACON KETCHUP aka Papa Bard's Pride & Joy... this meatloaf will have you rethinking the whole thing. 10/10 flavor and aroma from this bad boy. INGREDIENTS

  • 5 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 onion (minced)
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ pound bacon
  • ½ bottle of Tacticalories Spiced Burgundy Wine Marinade
  • 2-3 tablespoons of Tacticalories Carvers Prime Rub
  • 1 bottle of Papa Bard’s Bacon Ketchup

This recipe can easily be cut in half for a quick weeknight dinner!

DIRECTIONS

  • Heat pellet grill or oven to 275*. 

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix uncooked beef, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, eggs, Spiced Burgundy Wine Marinade, and Carver’s Prime rub.

  • Shape the mixture onto a cast iron pan or disposable tin and cover it with one layer of uncooked bacon.

  • Cook the meatloaf at 275 for ~1.5 hours then slather it with Papa Bard’s Bacon Ketchup. Continue to cook until it reaches a 160 internal temperature. Don't be afraid to crank the heat to 325 to crisp it up!

  • Remove and allow to cool, cut and serve warm!
