"SINNAMON CRISP" WICKED Smoked Apple Crisp

 This stuff is SPECIAL. Easy to make in your pellet grill but be ready to blow some minds. The absolute KEY is the Sinnamon Crisp Wicked Apple Pie seasoning... PERFECTO little bite for this Seasonal AF dessert!

 

Filling Ingredients:

  • 8 Granny Smith apples (Cortland, Empire, Honey Crisp, etc.)
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1+ Tablespoon Tacticalories "Sinnamon Crisp"
  • Whiskey or Bourbon

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 5 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter (Cold, Cut into 5 Squares)
  • 1+ Tablespoon Tacticalories "Sinnamon Crisp"

Additional Supplies:

  • 10" Cast Iron Pan
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Sharp Knife

Instructions:

  • Preheat Pellet Grill to 350*F
  • Peel, core, and cut apples into slices approximately 1/3"-1/2" thick. Add apples to a large mixing bowl. Add brown sugar and Sinnamon Crisp Wicked Apple Pie seasoning. Mix well.
  • Add 2-3 "Glunk Glunks" of your whiskey or bourbon of choice. Mix well.
  • Preheat cast iron pan, add 4 tablespoons of butter and allow to melt.
  • Once butter is completely melted. add the apple mix from the mixing bowl into the pan. Cook for 10 minutes.
  • While the apples are cooking, add all 5 of the 1 tablespoon squares of butter to a medium sized mixing bowl. Add oats, flour, brown sugar, and Sinnamon Crisp Wicked Apple Pie Seasoning. Mix well. Small lumps of butter are fine.
  • Top the apples in the pan with the topping. Spread evenly and return to the grill. Cook for 35-40 minutes at 350*F until the apples are tender, the filling is slightly bubbling, and the entire mix begins to darken.
  • Allow to rest for a few minutes and serve topped with vanilla ice cream. 
  • For some extra wickedness -- add a blessing of Sinnamon Crisp seasoning over the ice cream.
